The Cart Family on the Production Floor

The IAS-NC1200-HI belongs to the NC-series nuclear air purification cart family. This short walk past the production lineup shows its sister units — the IAS-NC1800-HI and IAS-NC300-HI (filmed units carry their China-market JJH-3000 / JJH-500 nameplates) — with the same design language: front-panel differential pressure gauges, VFD controls and caster-mounted cabinets.

Section 4 — Technical Data

Technical Specifications

Configuration: vertical caster-mounted cart for local-space nuclear air cleaning, with VFD-controlled blower and front-panel differential pressure monitoring. Filtration train, stage efficiencies and test documentation are issued with the project data sheet for each order.

Section 3 — Design

Design Advantages

Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Blower Control

Airflow is dialed in from the front panel and trimmed as filters load, so the work enclosure stays at its specified negative pressure across the whole filter life — no damper changes, no mechanical modification.

Built-In Differential Pressure Gauge

The front-panel ΔP gauge shows filter loading continuously. Operators see at a glance when a stage is approaching its change-out point and can plan the swap into the outage schedule instead of reacting to it.

Caster-Mounted Vertical Cabinet

A compact vertical footprint on heavy-duty casters: the cart rolls through standard doorways to the enclosure, positions where the work is, and locks in place. No skid, no crane, no fixed installation.

Front-Panel Controls & Status Indicators

Fan switch and run / status indicator lamps are grouped on the front panel with the pressure gauge — one face for start-up, speed adjustment and routine checks during operation.

High-Visibility Safety Finish

The orange powder-coated cabinet stays visible in congested decommissioning work zones, and the coated steel surface wipes down for contamination control between deployments.

Section 5 — Consumables

Replacement Filter Components & Consumables

Replacement elements for the IAS-NC1200-HI — HEPA aerosol elements, iodine (activated carbon) adsorber elements and pre-filters — are supplied by part number against the project data sheet issued with your unit. See the nuclear consumables catalogue or contact sales@iodineairsystems.com with your unit's data sheet reference for restocking.

Section 6 — Operation

Installation & Operation

6.1

Positioning & Connection

  • Roll the cart into position at the work enclosure and lock the casters.
  • Connect inlet / outlet ducting to the enclosure per the project layout, and confirm airflow direction before start-up.
  • Confirm each filter element is seated and the access panels are fully closed before placing the unit in service.
6.2

Start-Up Procedure

  • Connect the unit to the facility supply specified on the nameplate / project electrical data. The power indicator lamp illuminates when energized.
  • Start the fan from the front-panel switch, then raise blower speed gradually on the VFD control to the required airflow.
  • Verify the enclosure has reached its specified negative pressure before work begins.
CAUTION: Adjust blower speed gradually. Abrupt speed changes may cause airflow transients that disrupt enclosure negative pressure.
6.3

Routine Use

  • Read the differential pressure gauge each shift. Plan filter change-out when the reading approaches the trigger value in the project data sheet.
  • Trim blower speed on the VFD as filters load, to hold enclosure negative pressure without over-ventilating.
  • Schedule periodic on-site inspection per facility radiological protection procedures.
6.4

Filter Removal

  • Wear appropriate protective gloves and PPE before servicing filters.
  • Stop the unit and isolate power before opening the filter access panels.
  • Double-bag removed filter elements in sealed plastic immediately upon removal.
  • Handle and dispose of filters per facility radiological waste management procedures.
