// About Iodine Air Systems
Engineering Critical Air Quality
When It Cannot Fail
We design and manufacture custom iodine-catalyzed HEPA air purification systems for the most demanding environments on earth — nuclear decommissioning sites, hospital surgical suites, chemical plants, and research laboratories. Every system is custom-engineered to your facility's specific requirements, compliance standards, and airflow specifications.

// Our Mission
Air That Protects
People and Facilities
Iodine Air Systems was founded on a single principle: that the facilities handling the most hazardous materials — nuclear reactors, hospital isolation rooms, chemical processing plants — deserve air filtration that is genuinely engineered for their environment, not adapted from general-purpose HVAC equipment.
Our core innovation is the application of elemental iodine (I₂) catalysis within the filtration train. Unlike passive HEPA or carbon-only systems, I₂ catalytic oxidation actively neutralizes VOCs, chemical gases, and biological contaminants at the molecular level — in a single filtration pass, alongside HEPA particulate capture, without increasing pressure drop or energy consumption.
Every system we ship is custom-engineered: sized for your airflow, specified for your contaminant profile, documented for your compliance requirements, and validated before delivery.

// Core Technology
Three Mechanisms.
One Filtration Pass.
The limitation of conventional air filtration is specialization — HEPA captures particles, activated carbon adsorbs organics, UV-C targets biologicals. Each addresses one threat category. Iodine Air Systems' I₂ catalytic filtration simultaneously addresses three, in a single in-duct pass.

I₂ Catalytic VOC Oxidation
Chemical · Lab · Hospital
Elemental iodine oxidizes volatile organic compounds — benzene, toluene, formaldehyde, methanol, acetone — converting them to inert byproducts. Effective against EPA-listed Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs). Simultaneous treatment of 500+ chemical compounds in a single pass.

HEPA Particulate Capture
All Applications
H13/H14 HEPA final stage captures contaminated aerosols, particulate matter, and hazardous dust at ≥99.97% (H13) to ≥99.995% (H14) at the Most Penetrating Particle Size (MPPS, 0.2–0.3 μm). No reaerosolization. Tested to EN 1822 / IEST-RP-CC001.
